“There Is No Order Why Your Voice Doesn’t Need to Wait Its Turn.”

Whether you are aware of it or not you’ve been trained to believe there’s a right way to express yourself.Start with the body. Then the breath. Then if you’re ready the voice. But who told you that? Because what I’ve come to understand through voice, through presence, through lived experience is that it doesn’t happen in order. It happens all at once.Sometimes breath brings the voice.Sometimes the voice makes space for the moment.Sometimes the body doesn’t move until after something is said. It’s not a sequence. It’s a symphony. And if you’re a quiet expressive leader someone who feels deeply, listens before they speak, and holds space for others you’ve probably been told, more than once, that you need to follow the system:

Ground first ,then breathe ,then speak ,then lead.

But here’s the truth: you’re already leading. With your listening. With your presence. With your way of noticing the world. You don’t need to wait until you’re “fully ready.” You don’t need to follow a script that wasn’t written for people like you.

The Problem Is Bigger Than Just Breath

This isn't just about how you speak. It’s about how we’ve been conditioned to believe that life must follow a linear path:Go to school.Tick the boxes.Climb the ladder.Don’t make noise until you’ve earned your place. But who designed that path?
And who does it serve? Because let’s be honest most systems weren’t made for quiet leaders. They weren’t made for women who feel before they act. They weren’t made for therapists, dancers, makers, or artists who know things through their bodies before they know them with their mouths. So what if we unlearned the need for order?

What if expression wasn’t the reward for having done things "correctly," but the very tool we use to disrupt, to create, to lead?

A Gentle Disruption

Today, try this: Notice one thing you do that’s linear out of habit, not truth. And break it.Just slightly. Speak before you’re sure.Move before you’re fully “ready.” Breathe in the middle of the sentence instead of at the beginning.Interrupt the pattern.
See what arises.Because your body already knows.Your breath is already here.Your voice is already valid.

Final Thought

The world may try to hand you a map. With steps. With ladders. With rules about when you're allowed to be heard. But you’re not here to follow maps. You’re here to feel your own way forward. To move like water. To express like wind.To lead from the deep, intuitive knowing that doesn’t ask for permission. There is no order. There is only the moment And your presence inside it.
